Poetry sessions.
The last session of the year, will be on Tuesday 25 November from 5.30pm to 6.15pm, in the Heritage Gallery, All Saints Church, Kingston.
We will read a poem and reflect on any reactions and memories the words might suggest.
The theme will celebrate November, a month which leads us from Remembrance to Anticipation…….
The next session will be on 27 January.
Open to anyone interested in reading and discussing the work of an established poet.
What happens in our poetry sessions
All are welcome to these poetry sessions. We will read a poem (or poems) written by one of our best loved poets and the group will be encouraged to share any reactions and memories the words might suggest.
Each month the theme will reflect our journey through the year. September is celebrated as Creation month in the Anglican church, a chance to become more aware of the natural world around us. It is also the time for change as we think about the season moving from summer to autumn, and experience the new beginnings that the start of the new school year can bring.
Future sessions in 2025 will be held on 21st October and 25th November.
