DESCRIPTION:Join Canbury Singers next to our glorious Christmas tree for a joyous session of Christmas Carolling\nCanbury Singers are a friendly community choir based in north Kingston. Founded in 2007\, the choir has grown from a core of seven to just over 40 members today.\nThey enjoy singing a wide-ranging repertoire including pop and musicals\, choral works\, folk and madrigals. They rehearse weekly\, building up to performances at least twice a year. SUMMARY:RBKares Textile Wokshop
DESCRIPTION:This regular fortnightly workshop for about 15-20 people for 10 weeks (usually alternate Thursdays 10am-12pm) is part of the Kingston 2025 celebrations for refugees\, in our city of sanctuary\, to tell us their stories and their visions for the future of Kingston. The intention is to make a panel depicting this\, or favourite symbols\, which will then turn into a cloak that will be displayed in a space that is accessible to the public.\nRBKares is a small fully volunteer run charity that galvanises the community to support others in the community by running impactful projects\, such as monthly wellbeing days\, refugee sewing workshops\, community knitting campaigns and supporting other local charities and groups.\nThere are some Thursdays when the church is not available\, so please check our website or check RBKares social media @rbkares on instagram or their Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/rbkares to confirm the date is running.
