We are seeking donations for whole embroidery panels for our final Kings. Please contact [email protected] if you are considering a donation. We will discuss this in detail including ways in which this can be suitably acknowledged.
Seven Kings, including the first “Kings of England” are traditionally thought to have been crowned at Kingston Upon Thames. Before All Saints Church was built, the site was an important estate of the West Saxon Kings and host to Royal coronations.
We want to tell this significant heritage story by creating seven spectacular and unique embroidery panels depicting the Kings with rich imagery based on events from their reign.
We have worked with talented contemporary artists to create bespoke designs for the embroidery panels, four of which have now been completed. With the aid of your help and support, we hope to complete the project in 2025, the 1100 anniversary of the coronation of King Athelstan in 925AD.

We want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has donated and prayed for the All Saints Team (Vicar, Joe Moffatt, Churchwarden, Roshan Jathanna, Café Manager, Sarah Cogger and Lead Verger Sheila Cheek) who represented All Saints Kingston to raise much needed funds for Kingston Churches Action on Homelessness (KCAH) as they experienced one night of what local homeless people do every night on Kingston’s streets.
Having a dry night was an absolute blessing (something not guarenteed for so many people sleeping on the streets) as the team bedded down on cardboard on the cold, damp ground listening to the sounds of Kingston around them. Special thanks to volunteers for keeping them safe, something which homeless people cannot rely upon.
Kingston Churches Action on Homelessness work tirelessly to break the cycle trapping homeless people on Kingston’s streets, helping them to change their lives for the better. Every penny raised will go towards their efforts and this event is the key to their yearly income, so if you would like to donate, please click the button below to be directed to the “just Giving” page or alternatively, click here to donate via “Give a Little”
